Ok I am a Liam Neesan fan I loved the first taken I thought it was great I thought he was fantastic in A Monster Calls doing the voice acting but I’m really tired of seeing the same damn thing over and over. These movies at times can be fun for the cheesiness and just being a dumb popcorn film but when it becomes boring these films become unbearable to watch. I was invested in the first 20 minutes of the film and then the film lost me. He’s been on a plane, his daughter got taken, now he’s on a train. I’m guessing a boat cruise is next. The third act of this movie is so awful I can’t even explain it it’s something you have to watch to believe. These films are supposed to take you on a ride but instead of a full non stop ride you get a lot of stops along the way and ur thinking to yourself why am I so bored watching this. You would want the director and the writer to make this a mystery in trying to figure out who the person is instead with the way this movie was cast you can guess from the beginning who the person he is looking for is. That hurts the momentum of this movie a lot. They bombarded you with everything in the end of the film instead of giving you clues and ideas and details along the way which makes the ending just a bit too much.
I didn’t enjoy this movie at all. I liked the visuals it’s the same Liam Neesan in every action film. I thought the way the movie was shot and the camera work was great with how the train was used and shot but this movie really bored me a lot.
