Glass Movie Review

“Glass” Written & Directed by M. Night Shyamalan (unbreakable, Split) Starring James McAvoy (X-Men, Split) Bruce Willis (Die Hard, Unbreakable) Sarah Paulson (Carol, 12 Years A Slave) Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Witch) & Samuel L. Jackson (Avengers, Django Unchained).

Security guard David Dunn uses his supernatural abilities to track Kevin Wendell Crumb, a disturbed man who has twenty-four personalities.

Unbreakable to me is an amazing movie and M. Night did have his downs and lost his touch and fan base with follow up releases. I remember sitting in the theater and the first trailer for “the visit” came on and when his name popped up as director the entire audience laughed. I will say however when I saw “the visit” I thought M. Night was getting back in form so when split hit it was truly a great movie especially the tie in at the end with David Dunn letting us know that it was connected to unbreakable. So let’s talk about the closing of the trilogy that is “Glass” which was highly anticipated. Did M. Night stick the landing on this one? well it depends on how you feel about the ending of the film.

Now “Glass” is an experience and it depends on how your mind processes the ending of the film which will determine if you loved the film or hated it. I don’t think there will be an inbetween when it comes to this film. This is James McAvoys film and he is absolutely incredible in this movie. Bruce Willis is Bruce Willis and he was ok in the film and as far as Sam Jackson (Minor spoiler) he comes in towards the middle of the movie and most of his scenes have no dialogue. The directing in this movie is a reminder of unbreakable with the color pallets and the side shots and I thought it was great. The script has a few holes in it but it’s definitely not a bad script by any means. There is the classic M. Night Shyamalan twist and for me it delivered. I think Anya Taylor-Joy was used perfectly for this movie and the action is really really good.

I loved this movie. I think it closes out the trilogy really really well and the performances make the film that much better. I can’t wait to see it again.
I give “GLASS” a 8.9/10

The Commuter Movie Review

The commuter Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Unknown) Story by Byron Willinger (Backward Fall, Paradise Lost) & Philip De Blasi (Command and Control, Skyscraper) Starring Liam Neesan (Taken, Unknown) Vera Farmiga (Up In the Air, The Departed) Patrick Wilson (Hard Candy, Insidious) & Johnathan Banks (Gremlins, Mudbound).  A businessman is caught up in a criminal conspiracy during his daily commute home. Ok I am a Liam Neesan fan I loved the first taken I thought it was great I thought he was fantastic in A Monster Calls doing the voice acting but I’m really tired of seeing the same damn thing over and over. These movies at times can be fun for the cheesiness and just being a dumb popcorn film but when it becomes boring these films become unbearable to watch. I was invested in the first 20 minutes of the film and then the film lost me. He’s been on a plane, his daughter got taken, now he’s on a train. I’m guessing a boat cruise is next. The third act of...
