If you grew up as a kid playing cops and robbers then this is a movie for you. When you hear that Gerard Butler is starting in an action movie that is coming out in January some people laugh. I myself don’t care much for January movies because those are the movies that are dumped there after the holidays just to make some extra money. This movie however really surprised me there were a lot of twists and turns that I was not expecting. I thought this movie would be one dimensional but it wasn’t. Characters had layers to them one thing that you think is coming you get a different twist with it and I enjoyed that a lot. Performances are very good and the directing is pretty well done. The movie is just a regular Movie in the beginning but once the planning for the big heist begins that’s when the movie really kicks in and then fun starts. It’s not a perfect movie there are a bunch of problems and unresolved issues that we never get but it doesn’t take the enjoyment out of it.
If you love crime movies and heist movies I think you will enjoy this. This movie is miles away better than Triple 9. The movie is very long 2 1/2 hours but if you like this genre you don’t feel that at all. The movie flew by for me because I found myself invested in what was going on. The movie never gets dull because so many twists and turns that you never see coming happen. I definitely recommend you go and check this movie out.
