Strangers: Prey at Night Directed by Johannes Roberts (storage 24, 47 Meters Down) Original Screenplay by Bryan Bertino (The Strangers, The Monster) Starring Christina Hendricks (The NeOn Demon, Bad Santa 2) Bailee Madison (Brothers, Just go With it) Martin Henderson (Flyboys, Smoking Aces) Emma Bellomy (SmokeTown, Before the Dark) & Lewis Pullman (Aftermath, Battle of the Sexes)
A family's road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family's every limit as they struggle to survive.
The first Strangers was a film that hurt me to the core and I was terrified. A movie with horrific scenes and scenarios that can happen to just anyone and that is the magic of most films. Did it need a sequel? I didn’t think so the first Strangers was a cult classic and to me one of the best horror films ever. So there was no point in trying to do a sequel but here is the sequel and was it good? I mean it was ok but it didn’t need to be made. The story is again generic with jump scares here and there. You don’t care about the characters trying to survive at all because they just do stupid things and it’s like them telling the intruders to just kill them already. There are however very inventive scares and kills especially one particular scene that makes the movie fun to watch. To describe it it’s a fun watch if you don’t care about character development and story but to me if you are not invested in characters then you don’t care if they survive or not.
